My Day

Well, life has been fun lately! The base was on lock down this last week, so my DH was home most of the time! :) And there were no duty days to mess things up, so that was just wonderful. :)

We spent the time just relaxing, enjoying our 4 month old son and watching movies. My hubby finally got all the parts to his computer he was building and now it's all together and up and running! Hooyah baby!  He's pretty smart, huh?

Well, the official day he gets discharged from the Navy is set for July 12th, 2014. We are planning on going back to Bible college after that. That's going to be fun. We're hoping to take missions and music. But for now, we're going to enjoy the benefits of being a military family and will be thankful for the blessings we have right now!

Well, today was nice too, as it's the weekend and my hubby let me sleep a bit since I've been staying up all night for months on end with our new born son.

Hope everyone has a great weekend...blessings~

  1. Hello!
I just found your blog! I'm also married, and to a Navy Corpsman. He's stationed with the Marines, and we're currently going through our first deployment :( When he get back home we'll be a month away from our 1st wedding anniversary! Anyway, I was excited to see your in San Diego! We're in Oceanside, at Camp Pendleton. I'm excited to follow along and relate to a lot of the things your going through! My blog is kind of about whatever I feel like posting at the time, but I hope you check it out and we can ge to know each other!

  2. My husband and I are considering him joining the navy. We are 27 and have been married 7 years and have two children. Our daughter is three and our son is 6 months. Is there any insight or preparation you can give me if we choose this path.

  3. Hi!! I stumbled upon your blog on accident and just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Sarah and I am also a Navy wife. My husband has been in for over 6 years now and we were recently stationed in San Diego as well. He is actually still there preparing for deployment while I am in Illinois with my mom who is fighting breast cancer. We lived in Chollas Hieghts military housing and I miss it there so much.

Is your husband on a ship? or shore duty?

  5. I am writing to connect with you and get your feedback. If I had your email, I would have sent it as I know folks hate blog spam. My wife is a former navy spouse and I spent years on deployment so I kind of understand, but not really. The guys have it easy. In any event, please take a look at our site http://www.militaryandveteransdiscounts.com Tell us what is good, what needs improvement and please help us spread the word to the military community, especially the military spouses

    Thanks for the help!

    Terrence
